My Name is Earl centered on a small time thug and low-life loser, who somehow managed to lose a lottery ticket and then goes on to compile a list of things he has done wrong and subsequently, embarks on a mission to set those wrongs right.

And how many wrongs are we talking about here?

259 in the beginning, to be precise, while further additions saw this list swell to 277 wrongs, till the show was cancelled, abruptly and unexpectedly, if I may add.

Earl, before compiling the list, was a small time con-artist with an IQ less than of a koala bear. Once Earl and his equally brain-denied brother, Randy, stole an organ from a local church thinking it to be one of the human organs meant for sale in the black markets.

However, there were people who conned Earl, and the first name on that list was of Joy, his ex-wife, who got him over-drunk and then forced him to marry her, because she was pregnant with someone else’s baby.

But karma played its role, as in the end it turned out that Joy’s first child was actually Earl’s and the second baby belonged to Darnell, with whom she was having an affair.
