Jason Lee, also known as Jason Michael Lee, is a very popular American actor. Jason was born to Carol, a homemaker and Greg Lee. Jason Lee grew up in Huntington Beach. He joined Ocean View High School. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Jason Lee was very popular as a skateboarder for the tricks: 360 flips, kickflip backside tailslides, and curb cut-launched Japan airs. In 1992, he and Chris Pastras co-founded Stereo Skateboards. Jason, along with Tony Hawk, is the first skateboarder to win a signature show with Airwalk. Jason was also seen in the 1991 Blind Skateboards video Video Days. In 2004, Way Out East!, a video produced by Stereo Skateboards featured his skateboarding.
Jason Lee decided to adopt acting as his full time career after saying good-bye to skateboarding. He made his acting debut with small roles such as Jonze-directed Sonic Youth music video for 100% and Mi Vida Loca, a 1993 movie. Jason’s first biggest appearance was on Mallrats, a very popular movie. His good relationship with the director Smith helped him to win various roles in his upcoming productions such as Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Jersey Girl, and Clerks II etc.
For his performance as Banky Edwards, a comic book inker on ‘Chasing Amy’, Jason Lee won Independent Spirit Award. Lee next appeared on ‘Heartbreakers’, ‘Stealing Harvard’, and ‘A Guy Thing’ etc. His supporting appearances include Vanilla Sky, Almost Famous, Dreamcatcher, Big Trouble, The Ballad of Jack and Rose, and Mumford. He made a brief appearance on ‘Enemy of the State’. In the animated movie ‘The Incredibles’, Jason gave his voice to supervillain, Syndrome. He reprised the role on the play Disney Presents Pixar’s The Incredibles in a Magic Kingdom Adventure. In the Underdog, Jason Lee voiced the Underdog. He portrayed the character of Dave Seville in the movie Alvin and the Chipmunks. He was recently seen on Yacht Rock making a guest appearance as Kevin Bacon.
In the 2005 hit NBC sitcom ‘My Name is Earl’, Jason Lee got the role of Earl Hickey, the main character of the series. For his performance on ‘My Name is Earl’, Jason Lee received two Golden Globe nominations, in 2006 and 2007, in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy. In 2006, he also received a nomination for Screen Actors Guild Award in the category of Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series.
In 1995, Jason Lee married Carmen Llywelyn, an actress and photographer. They were divorced in 2001. Lee next became engaged to Beth Riesgraf, an actress and also has a son with her. The couple separated in 2007. He next developed relationship with Ceren Alkaç who has a daughter with him. The couple is said to married secretly in July 2008.
Jason Lee loves to ride motorcycles and has a significant collection of motorcycles. In 2008, Legend of the Motorcycle International Concours d’Elegance award was won by his post-war custom Falcon Motorcycle for being the Best Custom Motorcycle. Lee is one of the Board Advisers for the Citizens Commission on Human Rights and is a member of the Church of Scientology.

Jason Lee appears as Earl Hickey on ‘My Name is Earl’ tv show. He’s the main protagonist of the series. The whole plot of the series revolves around him. One day he wins lottery and meets with an accident in which he loses his ticket. Landing in the hospital, Earl comes to understand the concept of Karma while surfing channels. He thinks that he lost his ticket due to bad deeds that he had done throughout his life. After realizing this Earl decides to make a list of all such wrongs that he has committed and try to make them right. He finds his lost ticket thus reinstating his new found faith in the concept of Karma. Ultimately, it’s this theory that becomes the driving force of his life and we see Earl trying to live a good life. He is afraid of flying and is often seen driving a red El Camino.
